We craved indulgent desserts like cookies and ice cream made with real dairy, but nearly everything on the shelves came with compromises.
That night sparked an idea. After some research, we discovered that lactose intolerance affects nearly 30% of the U.S. population and an astonishing 70% of people worldwide, disproportionately impacting communities of color. We realized there was a significant need for treats that didn’t sacrifice flavor or the comfort that dairy provides, but were also lactose-free.
